The successor to the outgoing XM1/GL1 adds manual audio record levels to the spec sheet and a beefed up still camera. Canon pretty much got it right with the XM1/GL1 so there is little to fault on this machine.
The optics are the best in it's class (20x optical zoom

I was looking for a new miniDV cam for a long time. I had to make sure that the choice was researched and researched so I didn't go wrong. I knew I wanted a 3CCD camera. That seperates colors and luminance and contrast I think. Something like that. You can look that up and see for yourself exactly

These bad boys have been my bread and butter for the last few years. I have shot short films, Youtube Commentaries, Night scenes, and creative situations with great confidence and 3CCDs for picture quality.
I bought 2 of them about 5 years ago for a steal at $2300 per camera and now you can buy

Disappointing is the word that comes to mind. I'm already trying to decide what my next camcorder will be, and I paid $400 for this about a year ago. The main issue is picture quality; I'd call it blurry, or grainy, or low-resolution, but it's also somewhat dark and some of the colors are.

Perfect size for hands, easy button controls, extremly easy to use, carry and store away. Nice that lens cap is attached and that other input devices are covered. Have had this camera for 3 years, worked great , yesterday the flex wire broke on LCD monitor ( appx. $50 to fix) well worth it, camera.

I agree with everything positive said about this camera--its controls, its portability, everything except its low light performance, which is as bad as my old 8 mm, and its performance under artificial light, in which everything is flooded with glaring colors that make objects indistinguishable.

My wife and I were looking for a replacement for our old JVC DV camera that was starting to show it's age. We went to Best Buy to shop around after comparing various models online. We narrowed it down to two Canons. The ZR500 and ZR600 the ones in contention. Intially, we were going to go with the.

While this camcorder is since considered "outdated" it still has tons more features then a lot of todays budget camcorders. The video quality is so-so and if you don't mind messing with DV tapes, you have a really good camcorder!

I bought the Canon ZR500 because I wanted to capture family memories. This camera is very simple to operate if you are a beginner as I was. You can just point and shoot and the automatic adjustments turn out a very nice quality picture with no effort on your part. It also offers some more advanced.

Over the last few years i have been building a career as a Cinematographer. When the time came where my Clientel were requesting High Definition footage for their projects, i began to research the many small Semi-PRO HD camcorders on the market. The HVX200 is overall the only true professional.

The HVX200 was really my first experience with a pro-sumer camera, and in many ways I was impressed, and in other ways I was somewhat apprehensive. Before the HVX200, I had extensive experience with a Canon mini-disc camcorder, which worked well enough, it required significant effort to.

We just received an AG-HVX200 and I tell you, it's got more menus than a powerhouse Chinese restaurant. It's not for people who enjoy the pyro-friendly camera; there are menus with the depth of a 15-layer cake. The reason is because the camera can be configured into over 100 different ways of.

We are having our first child next month and so I did alot of research for a new, but reasonably priced camcorder. This will be my 3rd camcorder in 20 years (the prior ones being Sony 8mm).

This is the second dv camera I've purchased in 3 years, and I've returned it within the 14 day policy. I purchased this to replace a JVC GR-DV800U, which had similar listed specifications for resolution and wide screen capability. I've since learned that the Elura 100 is not up to the.

The holidays are around the corner, and my family and I are preparing for our very first Disney trip!! YAY! I think I am more excited.
